Drought impacting fall colors

AUSTIN, Minn. — In our area, the string of dry weather is taking its toll on trees.

And that could impact leaves changing colors this fall.

Trees are being stressed by the lack of rain, which is turning leaves colors right now.

Southeastern Minnesota counties, such as Winona, Houston, Wabasha and parts of Fillmore are being impacted.

But, don’t worry, if you’re looking to see those beautiful colors this fall, foresters say most of Minnesota will still have a brilliant fall color season.
