Protesting for a change

MASON CITY, Iowa – Instead of sitting at home wishing things would change for our government, one local lady is taking her views to the street.

26 year old Summer Adkins is protesting for her four year old son.

This single mom has been outside the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse since Wednesday, holding signs about change in our government.

Adkins says she hopes she’s setting a good example by showing that one voice is important.

“Is that one person can make a difference. Everyone can change, everyone can change themselves that’s the one thing you can have control over in changing and that’s all you have to do,” said Adkins.

Adkins will be in her spot until Friday night.

If you would like to contact Summer in helping her make a difference you can email her at Summerwind7509@aol.com
