2 charged with kidnapping Verizon store employee

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Prosecutors have charged two men with kidnapping a Verizon store employee from the driveway of his Loretto home, apparently so they could get his store keys.

Thirty-one-year-old William Charles Graham of New Hope and 29-year-old Ronald Jermaine Jackson of Richfield were charged Friday with felony kidnapping.

According to the complaint, Graham and Jackson used a black BB gun to force the victim from his car as he pulled into his driveway Wednesday night. The pair allegedly tied the manager’s hands together and put him in the trunk of their red Dodge Charger.

Within about 20 minutes, police had stopped the car and rescued the victim. Both suspects ran away but were caught.

The suspects are scheduled to appear in Hennepin County court Monday. Prosecutors are seeking bail of $500,000 each.
