Funeral services set for Nashua-Plainfield teen killed in accident

KIMT News 3- Funeral services are now set for a north Iowa teen who died after a car accident.

17-year-old Alex Potratz was driving a 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck eastbound on 220 Street when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch on Monday.

Potratz was taken to St. Mary’s hospital in Rochester where he died from his injuries Tuesday morning. He was the starting center for the Nashua-Plainfield football team.

His funeral is set for Monday morning at 10:30 at St. John Lutheran Church in Charles City. Visitation with the family is set for Sunday afternoon. It runs from 2:00-7:00 in the Nasuha-Plainfield gym. 

Friday night the school will honor his memory at their football game.
