ROCKFORD, Iowa – A big project to repair a local bridge is bringing out the community in a small Iowa town.
Those in Rockford can’t help but check out the new additions to this bridge.
It’s been out of commission since April.
Friday’s project is adding on the bridge beams.
Mayor Harry White is finding the progress just as entertaining as everyone else.
“Oh really good, I’ll be happy next Monday when they finish the other set of beams,” said White.
All together, seven beams were put in place through out the day.
Construction should be done by November.
