ALBERT LEA, Minn. — Many are hoping to cash in tonight as the Powerball jackpot is near record highs.
The jackpot currently sits at around an estimated 400 million dollars.
It’s the nation’s fifth largest prize ever.
Gas stations in Albert Lea are seeing many joining the Powerball fever.
“Right now, it’s not too much,” Clark Gas Station Manager Victor Patel said. “But, usually in the evening time, people go crazy. Buy a lot of Powerball. We sell quite a bit today too, yesterday too. It’s good. A lot of people come out and buy a bunch of Powerball.”
He says he’s seen plenty of new faces that have stopped at the station to buy tickets for tonight’s drawing.
