ATTICA, Iowa (AP) — A boil advisory has been issued for Attica in south-central Iowa after a water main break.
The state Department of Natural Resources says the Marion County residents will be advised to boil water once pressure is restored for the water.
Officials say residents should boil their water until tests indicate that it’s safe to drink. That includes for making ice, brushing teeth and washing dishes.
Additional information about the break has not been released. The nearby city of Pershing, which shares a common water main with Attica, has not been affected.
