2013 GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN – There are other areas impacted you might not have even thought about all because of the standstill in Washington.

Right now, some critical government websites are down as the start to the flu and harvest season gets closer.

The Centers for Disease Control website is not being updated due to lack of funding, that means flu outbreak maps are not up to date, and the USDA website is completely down

State Representative Josh Byrnes isn’t happy about that.

“We’re going into harvest season and our USDA website not even available, our office staff isn’t available,” said Byrnes.

Even U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley recently commented about the shutdown of the federal websites saying its just a way the White House is making the shutdown hurt a little more.

NASA’s website is also down.
