CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — Several groups are working together to clean the banks of the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids.
Cedar Rapids Parks Operations, the Department of Corrections and AmeriCorps will conduct the river cleanup for five days beginning Monday. Volunteers will focus on removing trash left behind by spring flooding.
The effort will begin at 8 a.m. Monday and volunteers will work until about noon each day.
Those who want to help should meet at the Five Seasons Plaza across from City Hall at 8 a.m. Monday.
