Teen charged in stabbing at Iowa homecoming dance

FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) — A teenager has been charged in the stabbing of another teenager at a homecoming dance in Fort Dodge.

The Fort Dodge Messenger reports (http://bit.ly/17bM3A4 ) 17-year-old Max Bly made an initial appearance Monday at Webster County Magistrate Court. He faces a charge of willful injury and will be tried as an adult.

Authorities say Bly stabbed another 17-year-old boy at Fort Dodge Senior High’s homecoming dance on Saturday. The boy received a stab wound in the back and remains hospitalized in Des Moines.

Bly’s bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety. Court records do not list an attorney.
