SAYLORVILLE LAKE, Iowa (AP) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold its annual Halloween Prowl at the Saylorville Lake Visitor Center north or Des Moines.
The Oct. 26 event gives youngsters a chance to dress up and venture out onto a trail haunted with creatures that share an environmental message.
Elementary age children can participate from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and younger children can take part from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The visitor’s center is off Highway 415 on Horseshoe Road, seven miles north of Des Moines.
