DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Gov. Terry Branstad will speak at a dedication ceremony for the Iowa Holocaust Memorial.
The event will be held Wednesday morning at the new memorial, located on the west terrace outside the Iowa State Capitol building in Des Moines.
According to a website for the memorial, it was designed to honor Holocaust victims, Iowans who fought in World War II and liberated the concentration camps, and Holocaust survivors who settled in Iowa after the war.
The memorial was paid for by the Jacqueline and Myron Blank Fund.
