WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — A Waterloo woman has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a man in September.
Waterloo police announced the charge Tuesday against 39-year-old Keisha L. Magee.
Police found 29-year-old John L. Bass, also of Waterloo, in September with a stab wound to the chest. He later died from his injuries.
Witnesses told investigators that Magee went to the home that day looking for Bass. Police say she had a confrontation with him and stabbed him with a knife from the kitchen.
Magee has been at the Black Hawk County Jail since the day after the stabbing. She is being held on a $1 million bond. Court records do not indicate whether she has an attorney.
