MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) — A hospital in Marshalltown is building a new facility to replace its current structure.
The Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center will begin construction on the project next spring. It’s expected to be completed in mid-2015. It will be in a different location than the current hospital.
CEO John Hughes said in a news conference Tuesday that the 75,000-square-foot facility will have an outpatient surgical center.
The Marshalltown Times-Republican reports (http://bit.ly/HEJykh ) project’s phase one is expected to cost $35 million.
The hospital says on its website that it owns and operates four primary care medical clinics in Marshalltown, Conrad, State Center and Toledo.
