DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — An international photography exhibit by philanthropist Howard G. Buffett is going on display at the World Food Prize headquarters in downtown Des Moines.
Buffett, son of billionaire investor Warren Buffett, has traveled to 130 countries documenting the challenges of providing adequate food and other resources to meet the needs of a growing global population.
The exhibit features over 120 photographs, which are part of “40 Chances: Finding Hope In a Hungry World,” the title of Buffett’s recently released book and his personal philosophy which challenges everyone to break down barriers and refuse to accept the status quo when it’s not working.
Public display of the exhibit begins Saturday. It will be open for viewing every Saturday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
