STORM LAKE, Iowa (AP) — Police have ruled out foul play in the death of a Storm Lake infant.
The Sioux City Journal reports (http://bit.ly/17RbcWL) that an autopsy Friday revealed no signs of foul play in the death of the 1-month old child. The boy was found unresponsive Thursday afternoon at his family’s apartment. His parents called 911.
Authorities collected evidence from the home Thursday night as part of the investigation.
Police say they still don’t know how the boy died. Storm Lake Police Chief Mark Prosser says lab tests may shed more light on the cause of death.
Police have not released the name of the infant or his family.
