North Liberty woman accused of attacking partner

NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa (AP) — A North Liberty woman has been accused of attacking her partner and threatening her with a kitchen knife.

North Liberty police say they responded to a home Thursday night where a woman claimed she was attacked by 26-year-old Sondra S. Irving. A criminal complaint says the women were involved in a relationship.

The woman told police she and Irving were arguing, and Irving eventually swung a knife at her.

Irving is also accused of pinning the woman against a wall and choking her. Irving’s 5-year-old daughter was allegedly present during the incident.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports ( ) Irving has been charged with domestic abuse impeding of airflow, domestic abuse with intent or display of a weapon and child endangerment with no injury. Court records do not list an attorney.
