BETTENDORF, Iowa (AP) — A tractor trailer was sliced in half during a weekend crash with a train in eastern Iowa.
KWQC in Davenport reports (http://bit.ly/1apQ5FO ) that the train struck the trailer shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday. The crash pushed the cab on its side with its driver still inside. It happened in front of a warehouse in Bettendorf.
The driver, who was not identified, suffered cuts and bruises, but his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The crossing has a flashing light, but no stop arm to prevent motorists from crossing the railroad tracks.
