JANESVILLE, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say no foul play is suspected in the death of a man found on top of the frozen Cedar River in northeast Iowa.
The state Division of Criminal Investigation says a person discovered the body of 29-year-old Daniel Fike on Tuesday under the Old Highway 218 Bridge in Janesville. Multiple departments assisted in recovering the body.
Additional information about the case has not been released, but authorities say there is no indication of foul play at this time.
The State Medical Examiner’s Office says it will soon conduct an autopsy.
