DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) — An early-morning fire has damaged the National Mississippi River Center Museum & Aquarium.
Officials tell the Dubuque Telegraph Herald (http://bit.ly/Jrvvze) that the fire appears to have started early Saturday near the tortoise exhibit, causing minor damage.
Officials say no humans or animals were injured in the fire.
However, smoke and fire damage has force officials to close the National Mississippi River Center Museum until it’s cleaned up. All outdoor exhibits remain open.
