Iowa man taken to hospital after car flips over

CENTERVILLE, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say a man in southern Iowa is being treated at a hospital after his vehicle flipped over in a high speed chase.

The Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office says 45-year-old Brandon L. Hudson, of Iowa City, led authorities on a high speed chase Thursday near Centerville. Authorities say his pickup truck reached speeds of more than 90 mph.

Hudson’s car was heading east on County Highway T30 when it left the road and struck an embankment. The vehicle went into the air and flipped over. It finally came to a rest in a field.

The Des Moines Register reports ( ) Hudson was airlifted to a Des Moines hospital. His condition was not immediately available.

Authorities say charges are pending.
