Georgia man accused of stabbing man in Iowa

GRINNELL, Iowa (AP) — A Georgia man has been accused of stabbing another man multiple times in Grinnell.

The Grinnell Police Department says 28-year-old Braxton Alan Hoover was arrested following a report of a stabbing Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex. Authorities say Hoover and a 31-year-old man were fighting prior to the stabbing and it escalated in the complex’s parking lot.

The victim was stabbed multiple times in the chest and above one of his eyes. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Hoover is accused of fleeing but was taken into custody a short time later.

The Des Moines Register says (http://dmreg.co/1di301A ) Hoover is charged with willful injury, assault with using or displaying a dangerous weapon and child endangerment. Court records do not list an attorney.
