Iowa business honored for supporting military

FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) — A small Iowa property management company is being honored for its support of the national guard.

The Fort Dodge Messenger reports (http://bit.ly/1i8CBVf ) Allied Investment Properties was recently honored at a Washington D.C. ceremony.

The business was nominated for recognition by Senior Airman Randale Meyer because the Air Force veteran works for Allied. But Meyer says he was surprised when the firm won a national award.

Business owner Matt Johnson says he was also surprised and honored by the award.
