DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say they’re looking for a man accused of walking away from a work release center in Des Moines.
The U.S. Marshals Service says a federal arrest warrant has been issued for 25-year-old Derrick Dejuan Hoover by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
Hoover is accused of leaving the Fort Des Moines Work Release Center on Tuesday. He was sent to the center as a condition of release for federal convictions involving escape and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Authorities say Hoover should be considered armed and dangerous because of his history with possessing firearms.
