WOODWARD, Iowa (AP) — Residents of Woodward in central Iowa were without water after a water main break.
The water was shut off Monday morning. KCCI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1gClF8D ) water was restored Monday afternoon, but officials are advising residents to boil their drinking water until testing shows it’s safe.
Woodward-Granger schools closed Monday because of the lack of water.
Mayor Brian Devick says he thinks the water main break was due to thawing that occurred after subzero temperatures last week.
