Suspect arrested in possible homicide in NE Minn.

BABBITT, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have made an arrest in a possible homicide in northeastern Minnesota.

The St. Louis County sheriff’s office says a 24-year-old man from Babbitt is jailed in the town of Virginia pending charges.

Authorities identify the victim as 55-year-old Paul John Bulen of Mahtomedi (mah-toh-MEE’-dye). An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday.

Babbitt ambulance and police were called late Monday morning about an injured man found lying in the road.

The victim was taken to a hospital in Ely (EE’-lee), where he was pronounced dead.

The death remains under investigation.
