DNR lifts boil advisory in southern Iowa city

LINEVILLE, Iowa (AP) — The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has lifted a boil advisory in the southern Iowa city of Lineville.

The DNR announced Saturday it had determined the water in the Wayne County city of about 200 people was safe.

Officials urged residents to boil their drinking water after a water main break Thursday. While workers repaired the break, the system lost pressure and there was the potential for bacteria to contaminate the water.

Lineville is 28 miles west of Centerville.
