ROCHESTER, Minn. — They try and bring awareness to Autism and bring some celebrities in to help.
The 4th Annual Mending Minds: “A Gala for Autism” took place in Rochester Friday night.
There was tons of entertainment and raffle prizes and a guest list that includes Tom Wilson, the man who played Biff Henderson in the “Back to the Future” movies.
It is a ton of work for those who put the event on, but totally worth it.
“At the end of the night when we can enhance existing friendships, we can meet new ones, and we can educate, advocate, bring awareness and unite about Autism, it doesn’t get better than that,” said Brad Trahan, one of the coordinators.
They use the proceeds for various things that help the community become more Autism friendly including helping out school districts to enhance Autism classrooms, educating law enforcement on what to do in a situation with an Autistic person and more.
