CLEAR LAKE, Iowa – A historic north Iowa theater is celebrating one year since going digital for the first time.
It was only last year when the clear lake movie theater began running high-definition and 3-D movies.
Managers of the theater say locals of all ages are making their way to see the latest features they have to offer.
They say with technology advancing as fast as it has been, they’re excited to offer what movie goer’s are looking for.
“I think our locals are obviously very pleased that we’ve taken the step forward in keeping up with the times. When people come in the summer, and they come in and see we have 3-D movies and stuff, I think it’s a good draw. It really helps,” said Bob Sherman with Lake Theater.
The movie theater has been in existence since the late 1800’s and has featured events from Buddy Holly tributes to holiday films.
