ROCHESTER, Minn. — If you’ve wanted to be more involved in your community and you live in Rochester, you have a pretty neat way to do that now.
City leaders are accepting applications to several open city commissions.
They are looking to fill spots on four different boards that address several different needs throughout the city.
Leaders say it’s a perfect opportunity for folks to get involved in the community.
“I think they look at things and say it’s a great city, I’d like to be a part of it and how can I help?,” Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede said. “And so, you get that kind of interest and it is a kind of way for people to get involved.”
If you’re interested, applications can be picked up at the Mayor’s office or found online.
They are due by February 24th.
