KIMT News 3 – Those in one North Iowa County say the jobs are there, but the people are not.
One area task force is hoping to change that.
They say its a work in progress, but leaders in Howard county are coming together to create a task force to find ways to bring people to the county, and it involves everyone from residents to those with the local schools.
Just recently, more than forty people showed up to the first meeting they had on the issue.
“It’s exciting because you’ve got a lot of people that are excited with you for the community and for the county,” said Jason Passmore, Executive Director of Howard County Business and Tourism.
The next meeting will be held February 1st.
