UPDATE: Authorities say the semi was operated by 36-year-old Singh Surinder from Bakersfield, California.
The driver was traveling northbound on Interstate 35.
According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, the driver lost control of semi due to icy road surface conditions. He left the crash unharmed.
The truck hit the guardrail and bridge. The trailer was full of oranges and the impact caused it to fall off the bridge, spilling the oranges onto the road below.
CLEAR LAKE, Iowa – Authorities are on scene of a semi hanging off an overpass near Clear Lake.
Our reporter on scene says the accident happened Thursday morning on I-35 N near the 193 exit. Shes says basically the back half of the semi is hanging off the overpass.
