ALBERT LEA, Minn. — While the winter weather is keeping you busy, it’s also keeping stores busy as well.
Local hardware stores are the “hot spot” to be.
Snow blowers, ice melt, shovels and heaters are some of the items that are flying off the shelves.
With how fast the winter conditions are changing this year, the owner of Ace Hardware says they keep a very close eye on weather reports, so they can plan ahead.
“Our business is completely dependent on the weather,” Raleigh’s Ace Hardware Owner Matt Raleigh said. “So, we try to keep looking up the weather a week out and we can order in pretty quickly.”
He says heaters are getting hard to come by.
People are trying to find ways to supplement heat amid rising propane prices.
