Getting businesses active

WORKPLACE WELLNESS

ALBERT LEA, Minn. — Leaders in the Gopher State are looking to get businesses active.
Governor Mark Dayton today proclaimed 2014 to be the year of Worksite Wellness.
It’s meant to raise awareness and encourage businesses to have work site wellness and communities as well.
Anytime Fitness is one of the participants in the initiative.
In Albert Lea, they are already partnering with local businesses.
“It all depends on what they want to do and were willing to work with whatever they think is best,” Albert Lea Anytime Fitness Co-Owner Bill Bromeland said. “But, the point I want to get across is it’s not an expense. It’s an investment. So, you’re going to save money if you offer these things to your employees.”
He says when businesses or corporations promote wellness; it benefits everybody and is truly a win-win for all involved.
