8-year old makes a generous donation to local homeless shelter

A north Iowa girl is taking her hard earned money and putting it towards a good cause.

Jasmine Post, an 8 year old from Mason City has spent two months making and selling these bracelets on her Facebook page.

She raised $270 selling the pieces of jewelry and Tuesday, she donated that money to the Trinity House of Hope women and children’s shelter.

She said it was an easy decision to give the money to Trinity.

“Because I wanted to help people feel like this that are in need and I choose Trinity House of Hope,” says Post.

Jasmine says next she’s going to make items out of clay to sell to benefit people with cancer.
