MASON CITY, Iowa We told you last week that a Fortune 100 company will possibly be making it’s way to a local town. And now, they’re looking to make sure area leaders are on board.
It’s still a mystery for many in the area, when it comes to what big company will be coming in to Clear Lake.
What we do know, is that it would employ 164 people, with an average starting salary at thirty-nine thousand and benefits package. 385 construction workers would also be employed over the 18 month construction period.
Next week, the Clear Lake City Council will be proposing a few incentives to Windmill Realty, LLC to make their offer more appealing.
One area economic developer says he’s excited for what’s to come, “There’s undoubtedly a lot of excitement out there, and there should be, but we’re also saying, hold things in check a little bit. We have quite a bit more work to do,” says Brent Willett, President and CEO of North Iowa Corridor EOC.
Willett says by the end of March, the public should know more but the release of the business name won’t be announced until construction is almost done.
