MASON CITY, Iowa. — What do you picture, when you think about the future of your city’s downtown area?
If you live in Mason City, you’ll get a chance to answer that question.
It’s all part of the “Downtown Mason City Market Project” that’s being organized by Main Street Mason City.
The survey will focus on collecting important data from community members and businesses, about the current downtown set up and what it could be in the future.
“We’ll be going out on the street at some point once we get our survey’s put together and actually asking residence not just in the downtown district, but also in other businesses and other places in the community,” Main Street Mason City Executive Director Jodee O’Brien said. “Maybe they don’t come downtown, what do they see as our downtown.”
Right now, she says they are collecting data and reviewing background information on Mason City’s downtown.
They also want you to know, they’ll be approaching people who are downtown to take the surveys.
The study should be finished in the fall.
