Boil advisory lifted for Crystal Lake

CRYSTAL LAKE, Iowa – A boil advisory that had been in effect for the Hancock County community of Crystal Lake is being lifted.

The advisory was issued this week after a water main break led to a drop in pressure in the water system, potentially allowing bacteria in.  According to a statement released Tuesday afternoon by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, two water samples have come back clear of bacteria, and the DNR and city are lifting the boil advisory.
