Parking changes at local airport

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Those taking to the skies from the Rochester International Airport will be noticing some changes.
The airport is introducing an easier way for people to park.
They’ve combined their long-term and short-term parking into one lot.
They will charge an hourly rate, and it includes a single day max and a weekly max.
Airport officials say being user-friendly is important and this helps achieve that.
“By combining those lots, now over a third of our customers that are parking will be able to park that much closer to the terminal,” Rochester International Airport Executive Director Marty Lenss said. “So, over all, it’s a little bit better customer product and we’re excited. It seems to be well received.”
Besides better parking, he says they are looking at other ideas as well to continue to improve the airport experience for customers.
