CHARLES CITY, Iowa – It’s been quite a process for one local superintendent as he meets with the community about the future of a middle school.
And now, he says they’re seeing lots of progress.
Superintendent Dr. Dan Cox says originally there were five plans to choose from.
Now, it’s pretty much narrowed down to two.
Dr. Cox says it’s nice to see things running smoothly at this point.
“One is to renovate here at the middle school and just do some renovations at the high school the blue plan, and the other plan is to build a new 6-12 in a new location and that’s the purple plan,” said Dr. Cox.
Dr. Cox says one common thing he’s hearing is to make sure the middle school will still be a vital place in the community.
He says by the end of March the school board should be able to make a decision on the plan.
