FOREST CITY, Iowa – It’s hard to imagine going camping right now in this weather, but it’s already on the minds of outdoor enthusiasts.
Campers are already putting in reservations at campgrounds around the area for Memorial Day weekend, and some of those campgrounds are completely filled.
Meanwhile, local Park Ranger Deb Coates with PilotKnobState Park says even she has a hard time imagining Spring just months away.
“When you look outside and you look at the weather its hard to envision camping right now, but if you want to get a spot you better get on there and get it reserved,” said Coates.
Coates says at this time they have 10 of 30 spots filled up.
She says she expects all the reservations to fill up by Memorial Day weekend.
