OSAGE, Iowa – A 23-year-old man is being held in the Mitchell County Jail in a deadly crash that happened five months ago.

According to a statement from Mitchell County Sheriff Greg Beaver, Tyler Patrick, of Osage, was arrested Tuesday after an investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Iowa State Patrol that’s been ongoing since the crash.  Beaver says Patrick is charged with vehicular homicide / operating while intoxicated and is being held on a $15,000 cash only bond.  His next court appearance is scheduled for March 7.

As KIMT News 3 reported shortly after the crash, on September 20, Patrick was believed to be behind the wheel in the single vehicle crash that resulted in the death of 22-year-old Jesse Wilson, of Charles City, and the injuries of several passengers.  Authorities at the time said Patrick lost control and the vehicle rolled several times on Hickory Avenue north of Highway 9.
