CLEAR LAKE, IA – The North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corporation has been working tirelessly for the last 4 months to land that Fortune 100 Company; but, to continue work like this, the group needs funding. That’s why a long time investor has upped their annual contribution to the EDC this year, in order to kick start the campaign season.
The EDC has named “Manufacturers Bank and Trust” in Clear Lake as the Flagship Investor for the 2014 campaign. The goal is to generate private investments, in addition to city and county funding.
Tim Esbeck is the Community President for MBT bank and has been involved with the organization since the early 80’s. He hopes this week’s announcement of a multi-million dollar development will help others see the value of the EDC, and follow his lead.
“This new announcement for the Fortune 100 Company coming to Clear Lake I think is just start of some great things ahead for this region, so I hope more people get on board in supporting the North Iowa Corridor,” says Esbeck.
The funds raised through the campaign are used for marketing and regional research.
