ALBERT LEA, Minn. – It’s been years since the brainstorming began and months since the construction was completed. Now a local community is beginning to see the pay-off from the recent streetscape project.
A store called the Copper Kitchen is now open on Broadway Avenue in Downtown Albert Lea. It’s the first business to open in that area since the first portion of the streetscape project was finished last fall.
“Hopefully this is just somewhat of a domino effect that we’re going to continue to see this year. There’s been a lot of enthusiasm throughout the community about the project and specifically with businesses such as the Copper Kitchen,” said Albert Lea City Manager Chad Adams.
