Man hurt in explosion pleads guilty to charges

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – A southern Minnesota man hurt in an explosion in a bunker in 2012 is pleading guilty to charges in connection to the case.

49-year-old Ronald Rofshus, of Albert Lea, pleaded guilty earlier this month to one count of unlawful possession of an explosive or incendiary device. Another count of unlawful possession of a firearm silencer was dismissed.

In October of 2012 authorities say Rofshus set off an explosion near his Freeborn County home. Rofshus was severely hurt in that blast.
