MASON CITY, Iowa – At a special meeting of the Mason City Airport Commission on Wednesday, members had to decide which air carrier proposal to accept to serve the local municipal airport. Instead, they turned down both proposals from two different airline carriers, saying that they do not fit the needs of the airport. The proposals were from Great Lakes Airline, which suspended it’s service earlier this year, due to a pilot shortage. The other proposal was from Air Choice One. The commission says they will now look for more bids to be submitted.
