KIMT News 3 — It is the final week of open enrollment for MNsure and they are making a push for the younger generation to get signed up before it is too late.
Monday MNsure representatives were stopping by many of the college campuses around the state. They will also be stopping by bars, libraries and more throughout the week.
A MNsure spokesperson said they were anticipating those in their mid to upper 20s to be some of the last to sign up.
“We know that the young folks tend to put things off and that deadlines are very motivating and so if by having these events going on this week, we’re hoping that’s going to be the impetus that they need to make the decisions they need about their health coverage,” MNsure Spokesperson Jenni Bowring-McDonough said.
That is why they are trying to go to their hot spots to spread the word.
“We really wanted to make sure that we targeted some locations where young people are already going. College campuses is one, bars and brew pubs are another example of where you’ll find young adults,” Bowring-McDonough said.
They will be making more stops in our area throughout the week.
