MASON CITY, Iowa – The fight against the Emerald Ash Borer continues in North Iowa. The invasive specie has been spotted in eight Iowa counties, and work continues to stop it from spreading.
Iowa State University Extension is holding a public meeting on what the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer means for you. The meeting is Tuesday night in Mason City, at the Lime Creek Nature Center beginning at 6:30 pm.
ISU Extension is hoping to educate people on what the Emerald Ash Borer is, what you should watch out for, and what to do if your tree becomes infected.
