PLAINFIELD, Iowa – Firefighters were called to a business fire. It happened Wednesday evening at Plainfield Welding.
A witness tells us the high winds fed the flames from early on and the fire overtook the building and caused the roof to collapse. A friend of the business owners says, no one was inside when the fire started, and to her knowledge, there are no injuries.
Plainfield Welding just celebrated its 30th anniversary in the community.
The Iowa State Patrol confirms they had troopers on the scene to help with traffic control in the area.
