Local food bank receives a generous donation

MASON CITY, IA – The virus killing millions of young pigs is taking its toll on market pork products like bacon and an Easter staple: ham.

According to one local meat expert, the prices continue to rise and some families just can’t afford to put the main course on the table.

If you are one of these people, you might want to get your voucher for the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank.

A donation of 18,000 pounds of ham was donated by a Clear Lake church who wishes to remain anonymous.
